Just a few years ago, a friend asked if I wanted to make a "last" trip down there and I declined. I wanted to remember it like it was in the early 70's when the track was good for 30 mph, you didn't have to haul along two extra tenders behind you and the shops were still working on steam. Sad to see this happen now, but that's the world we live in today.
