Several questions. I am assuming that the three additional K-36's #484, 485 & 488 converted to steam heat and air signal lines meant in addition to #483 which I believe was used on the San Juan so it must have been one of the conversions at some point in time. I also assume that this conversion of the K-36's was the reason why tenders could not be easily swapped between non- converted K-36's. And lastly have the steam and air lines been removed over time by either the D&RGW and later C&TS and D&S on engines that had this conversion?
I also have been noticing that the pilot flag holders have been disappearing on recent C&TS rebuilds...anyone else see this?
