I didn't find the exact plan I remember but the 1881 layout is published in a sketch in the book "The Cumbres & Toltec Scenic RR- The Historic Preservation Study" by Spencer Wilson and Vernon Grover, U of NM 1980. But I did have a tracing of a October 4, 1900 plan of Chama showing the coal trestle. The ash pit in on the lead to the turntable. This got me to review the map in the Trails to the Columbine 1987 page 102-103 and convinced the added date of 4/15/01 is in error for the date this map represented. That Chama map is between 1888 and 1890 as that was the only years that there was a Biggs Mill that was 3.16 miles south from the switch at 468 heel block.(trk 23) The hotel is there and the milepost 343 is identified as old 343. I think they changed mileposts about 1890-1.309 miles different. PRR
