I've been giving this some thought; if the RGS had somehow managed to stay in business, even up to the present time, then the Ridgway shop would have surely have seen to the constant upgrading necessary to keep No. 20 in good running shape, had they been making a profit. Therefore, if the RGS would have done the necessary maintenance to keep her running, then what is the difference in having a thoroughly qulified shop, like the Strasburg's, do the work instead of an RGS shop crew? The end result would have been the same. No. 20 will be alive and well here in the 21st century for a whole new generation, and generations to come, to see a piece of living narrow gauge history. I say BRAVO to the Strasburg guys, and to whoever it was that put up the cash for the Colorado Railroad Museum to be able to make it happen!
