I seem to recall hearing that the Frisco (I think?) took a decent amount of time to prep their park engines, which included stripping the a-word from most of them and putting wooden spacers underneath the jacket.
P.S: As far as suppliers go -- if you're lucky, you may be able to find some rural mom-and-pop hardware store with a back room full of contraband they're just dying to dispose of, but can't sell and simply haven't had the chance to get rid of. (A certain story involving a free truckload of white lead paint comes to mind...)
