Not only does geode have it right about politeness when a guest in another's house (so to speak) - but maybe it's just nice to have a place to communicate - or just eavesdrop - where the rudeness of our present society doesn't invade.

The "right" of free speech doesn't mean the limits need to be continuously pushed. We can all watch TV for that.

Another 2 cents for the kitty
