Typical tools on a steam locomotive

I am curious as to what the typical tool collection that would be stored on a narrow gauge steam locomotive would be? Where would these tools typically be stored?

What difference would there be in terms of tools carried on a common carrier narrow gauge vs. a logging or mining only narrow gauge?

Would some tools typically be carried on the locomotive or in the caboose or both?

Thanks as always for those who know this sort of information who share it with the rest of us.
