Brian--your sentiment of Bob Tully brought back MANY fine memories of a fine man. I would always wince when I saw him coming toward me, carrying his note pad with weeks of notes and planning scrawled out in long hand. I was always amazed at how organized he was and how that legal pad served him so well. He would approach me with his infamous words, "I've been thinkin'", which was usually followed by a long, well planned disertation. He would end with,"Do ya think we could convince Marvin to do this?" I would dutifully set out to try and convince Marvin that whatever Bob wanted to do was a good thing, because it always was. I have never meet a person more focused on doing good for the C&T. What set Bob apart was that he was actually able to carry out most of his plans, hierarchy be damned. And yes, he was better than most of us.
My thoughts and prayers are with Mona and Bob's family.
