They would have had 4 engines had they not lost the right to operate the loop. 44 was halfway finished when the lost the loop, now the locomotive is scattered around Golden and Denver in pieces

Last I heard, the rest of the equipment was not doing to well either. The roundhouse crew at the Museum told me that 40 is in good shape and runs, 12 is missing a universal joint, and 14 needs its front axle rebuilt, though other then that she still runs fine.

we have not had any of the loop locomotives running since 346 was brought back into service, though I know 130 and 140 are used when Thomas comes to town in September.

All 3 Loop diesels are in good shape and run as far as I know. 140 was used on the Easter Bunny train.

It will be sad to see them leave the museum however, having so much extra equipment has its advantages. We use the loop gondolas and covered cars on every steamup. Although we have enough equipment at the museum to continue operating without trouble. Its just nice to have extra stuff around
