It's clearly not P.T. Barnum, a type face name that was originally a French Clarendon in the 1880s. The D&S lettering is a bogus design with no historic relationship to any prior D&RG lettering styles that I am aware of, and the first usage was when the cars acquired the "Grande" gold back in the 50s and the traditional railroad Roman as modified by the D&RGW was dropped in favor of someone's idea of "old timey" lettering. Much as I admire what has happened with my home railroad, I can't abide by the lettering as continued year after year.
