While wandering around the scrap piles in Antonito last month I counted 14 side sills from the 6500 series. I made out 2 from 6541, one from 6512 and a 654X. How come there are so many of these left if the coaches were made from these flats? Were these complete cars or just scraps acquired from the Grande?
