Good Question.
Over here at the D&S we have been seeing the same trend in the quality of the coal. There have been quite a few loads with enormous lumps and a ton of "bug dust". The only good thing is that the content of shale seems to be much lower this year than other years. It definitely keeps you busy when you're firing. I had one trip a couple of weeks ago where I had 10 lumps that were too big to fit through the coal doors on the tender. You've got to dig them out of the pile then break them up with the shaker bar. They will burn for a long time in the back corners of the firebox, though.
