Isn't it thrilling when a piston lets go? When we lost one on the Heisler many years ago, we managed to knock a bird our of a tree with the cylinder cover.
We found a new product to replace the threads on the cylinder. It's called a Garsert insert. It's self taping and needs no special tools.
