While it's pretty obvious from the photo of the wreck that the pilot truck - at the far left - has swung downhill toward the engineer's side, when I place a straightedge on the picture it looks to me as though the trailing truck - toward the right side - is within an inch or so of being directly in line with the drivers. Is it being held in place by the spring rigging and/or equalizers?

Does someone have drawings of the truck that could be posted? Model Railroader covered the k-27's very thoroughly in a two-part article in the early 1970's - lots of photos and good On3 plans - but my copy is buried somewhere ...
