Silverton Trains

Hi,
I recently reread a few old posts. Discussions earlier this year mentioned that the D&RGW operated up to 10 car Silverton trains in the 1970s with a single K-27 and 15 cars with double-headed K-27s. I did not see any information, and I am curious about, how many passenger cars the K-36s can pull and #497 pulled to Silverton.
Also, has the D&S used doubled-headed K-36s and how many cars was that long train? Is it correct to assume that the K-27s pulled basically the same number of cars as the K-28s? I hope to finally visit Durango within the next two summers with my family and I am looking forward to the train ride.
