I have been following all of the threads dealing with the CHS (and have joined in myself!) With one or two notable exceptions ALL of the posts are extremely negative (and before anybody gets too agitated I happen to agree with them!)
It just seemed to me that the CHS has been around for a very long time and they have control over a tremendous amount of money which they have been distributing for a variety of projects. In the interest of fair play, I thought it might be good to reflect on some of the good things that the CHS has done in the past. (C'mon! I'm sure that we can come up with at least SOME good things!)
I refuse to believe that the CHS wants the GLR dead! I DO think that it's possible that one or more unscrupulous and greedy people might be trying to use this situation to line their pockets and "to hell" with the GLR but I have to believe that it is a very small minority! In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if most of the CHS membership is virtually ignorant of the true situation and what the leadership of the CHS is trying to do!
Because of this situation with the GLR and the CHS we have collectively decided to "demonize" the CHS as a whole and I think that might be a mistake. Whether the GLR survives or not and whether C&S #9 and #30/74 ever are restored to operation, like it or not, the fact remains that the CHS will be an integral part in many (if not all) attempts at restorations in the future! We may be on opposite sides now but what about in the future?
