As a member of the G.L.R.steam crew I would like to thank you for the vote of confidince as one of the best tourist railroad operations out there. We really do try to to the best we can. Working for the Asbys has been a pleasure and an honor. With this said, I must restate my position on working for the CHS or another operator/contractor on this line. The G.L.R. staff and management have treated me with alot of respect and trust. I am proud to be apart of this fine team and I will not betray that trust. With the attitude that the CHS has shown us all, I will not, can not, work for them. I like to think that I have some integerity and yes this is a vote of no confidence for for the C.H.S. I Truly wish that both sides can reach an agreement.Unfortunatly though I do not see this happening.
I have said that if it comes to it I will help move all of the G.L.R. railroad equipment off the property. After that well I am keeping my options open. I've already had several job offers working in the steam locomtive restoration field or as a steam engineer.Like I have said There is always another railroad down the road that can use my help.
