Sorry that I am so late in answering this question but I have been in S. California at the Sn3 convention and out of touch.
The pump was driven by a wind mill. The water was drawn form the lake and proved not to be the best and wass later replaced by the present line up into the hills. The pump itself is no longer there but the catch is there.
