I got only one fairly good shot of the sun shining through the HUGE clouds of steam created by the leaky packing on the right side piston rod, and John's photo is better than mine so I won't even try to compete. See below for some of my shots that are sufficiently different from what John posted that I'm not too embarrassed to share them here (and in spite of the fact, according to John, that the NGDF is "[only] a narrow gauge place".

We had a gorgeous day (unlike the day before) and, IMHO, the relatively minor problems with the locomotive only added to our photos (and the spirit of adventure).

I stopped by Tom's place on the way north to pick up his and Gordon Glattenberg's tripods so that they wouldn't have to deal with them on their flight. John, Gordon, Peter, Olaf and Tom are undoubtedly visible in the two V&T photos that I posted on the "Trainless Train Pics" thread, but only Tom is easy to pick out of the lineups. (He's the one wearing the bright red gnome hat in the fifth photo below.)

Peter Crook is WAY too good-natured to be labeled (or libeled) as a 'Foamer', but he does market mostly-diseasel videos under his
Highball Productions label. Check out Peter's website at [
www.traintapes.com].
In response to your query above, here are a few of mine from the morning of 02/08/12.
The first location of the day. The sun wasn't quite up, as indicated by the frost on the ties at the grade crossing
:
The second run-by at the second location - adjacent to a "small" open-pit mine
:
From near the west portal of the abandoned tunnel just up the line from Gold Hill
:
Zooming in from the same location
:
A fellow fan and I climbed up the hill across the road from the depot; most of the others lined up along the highway embankment
:
I probably shouldn't admit it, but this last one is identified in my mind as "Where's Waldo"
...
