I realize that I'm probably in the minority on this one, but I like the display, AND the location of it. It's nice to know that a NG Rio Grande locomotive still occupies original ROW down in the canyon, and I make a point to visit every time I'm over that way.

I'm sure the location does make maintenance more difficult, but frankly I think money, not lack of accessibility, is the real reason for the current deteriorated state. The location (both the fact that it's not right on the highway, and the isolated trestle) also help prevent vandalism.
