The delay in appropriations, and hopefully it will only be a delay, is unlikely to materially affect operations this season. The locomotive work for this season is being done, and there is enough EDA money left from the initial grant to keep the track folks busy this summer. The problem will be getting enough FRA work done on the locomotives to ensure we have enough power for the 2002 season. We had planned to start the boiler work this summer, but will probably have to delay that until later in the year. Hopefully with some ingenuity we can mitigate the problem, but this sure makes it harder to plan.
