Coker,

From memory she is a Brooks of 1881 or 82, and I believe was built for either the Utah & Northern or the Kansas Central. Early pictures of the engine show her to be identical to several locomotives that worked the Sumpter Valley early on.

Thanks, Taylor

I SAY, AN ENGINE WITH ALL THAT HISTORY IS A MAJOR FIND AND A STRONG CANDIDATE TO BE REBUILT TO OPERATIONAL STANDARDS. I WISH THERE WAS SOME MILLIONAIRE OUT THERE THAT WOULD TAKE IT OVER AND SEND IT TO STRASBURG FOR A TOTAL REBUILD FOR OPERATION ON, SAY,THE SUMPTER VALLEY!
