I suspect the massive Climax mine tailings ponds (and repeated highway relocations to avoid them) have obliterated/buried much of the grade from the top of the pass down to near today's Copper Mountain. From there into Frisco, the current hiking/biking trail supposedly follows at least some of the old grade. Then you've got the waters of Lake Dillon covering the old Dillon townsite.
