There is also a great RR chase scene in "The Wrong Trousers", starring Wallace & Grommit that would blend well with parts of "The General". And we could show Al Fillups riding the siderod into the engine house. (This could be even better if he were riding the driveshaft of a shay! It would resemble the 'Patriot Arrow' scene in "Robin Hood - Men in Tights".
The script is just an overview. There's a lot more detail (and terrible puns) that I'd like to add, but it's already been edited 72 times ...
Keep the ideas coming, and I'll update it again before submitting it to The Denver Post for publication as a serial.
