This the deadline and scrap line of the former National Railway of Bolivia in Uyuni, Bolivia. Over 20 locos and cars are dumped in the altoplano near the City of Uyuni. That is the remains of one of the Bayer Garretts. Also a lot of meter gauge steam locos are stored in various stages of neglect in Uyuni at the shops.
I was there in 2005 on a TUT excursion. Also this is listed as one of the tourist attractions of the area

Cemetario de locomotives.
This loco is next to the Ferrocarril Antafagosta y Bolivia mainline heading west towards Chile. Uyuni is the junction between the former mainline of the FCAB and ENFE (Bolivian National Railways) mainlines. Sorry lots of stored steam, no servicable steam on any of the active trackage. Trackage is now operated as the Ferrvias Central Andina, Bolivia, a private operator.
TUT is heading back that way again in 2008.
