The train with the camera running did NOT put the train in emergency...it saved there lives by getting there engine just far enough past the impact point to miss the full head on hit. The crew that was on the main did not call out to warn anyone...they were asleep until just before impact. The train crew going in the hole rode it out and survived...the other crew woke up and jumped and also survived. T.bones
