No........ this has nothing to do with how to make a locomotive steam better....
Does anyone out there know the process in which the US Army acquired the locomotives for the WP&Y in WWII?
Did they politely ask the companies if they had any surplus locomotives? Did they barge into the Main Office and say "These are OURS now, had 'em over?" Or perhaps something in the middle?
As we all know, the government sent a lot of locomotives to Skagway, including Silverton Northern 34, C&S 69 & 70, as well as our beloved K-28's.
Ideas??? Opinions???
