Bob: Another bit of speculation on 16 and 18. Earl Emlaw on the info sheet you sent me that we both have been refering to shows 16 and 18 out of service 1-1-43 despite the fact that their tenders left with 19 and 20 about 2 years earlier. I wonder if this date reflects when time ran out on their boilers as regards ICC rules requuiring re-tubing and such. The same might be true of 50 as regular passenger service ended 4 years before it is listed as out of service. I suppose it could have been used to pull work trains or other special light duty, after its retirement from pulling the daily pass. trains. Have you ever seen any pictures of it coupled to anything besides the reg. pass. consist?
