The fate of #11 is unknown. There are shop records that indicate various bits and pieces were removed from #11 and placed on other locos prior to her being sold. (Noted were the firebox doors and her air pumps.) Hardly enough to render her useless--an equipment dealer could easily replace those parts, but sufficient to indicate she was used as a parts source for a bit while on the EBT. (FEBT

I've asked folks who study Hawaiian and Alaskan railroads, but so far no one I've talked to has seen anything that would indicate that #11 made it to either of those two areas. There's also speculation that she went south of the border, but like the Hawaii and Alaska claims, these have yet to be substantiated with anything resembling a clue, let alone proof.
