Hi,
When I researched my book on the Gainesville Midland RR, There was a locomotive #109 listed in several rosters but no photographic evidence of it. Many started believing that the locomotive never existed even though there was evidence through Southern Iron & Equipment records that she was purchased by the GM.
I looked up the Annual Reports to the State of Georgia Public Service Commission (formerly the Railroad Commission) and found that 109 has been "bought October 1935, sold 8-31-36, may not have been used since the engine needed $3-4,000 work to replace flues when purchased. This comment is from the 1935 PSC report."
There may be evidence out there still of EBT #11 that has not surfaced.
