As H.A.W. Tabor is reported to have said to Baby Doe, "Hold onto the Matchless. Someday it will make millions." Some have debunked this as a myth but it sounds good in Western Lore. However, Baby Doe did continue to believe that the Matchless could make those millions.

I have to be a little biased here because my grandfather knew Baby Doe. He used to work in a grocery in Leadville at the time and would try to give her produce saying, "Please take it. It'll go bad if you don't." She never would accept charity. She was found frozen up at the Matchless Mine in 1935 pennyless.

I guess this is my way of saying, hold onto what you have, don't seek charity and who knows, someday you might make your millions. The same could be said of the Loop. If Railstar gets sick of dealing with the CHS, the CHS might go back to GTL with an acceptable offer. Or you might find yourself out in the cold for good.


Who knows what the future will holds?
