It would be interesting to see a list of who was on the payroll. I count about 80 actual employees. I assume the the surgeons, and attornies listed had practices outside the rr. I notice that the actual section men did not receive passes, just the foreman. Similarly there is a chief woodpiler listed. I have seen payroll materials for persons who were "woodpilers", so more employees. Also there were additional employees both at S.Baker and Austin who worked in the shops. Individuals are not listed on the B&B crew, but from some old photos I have of the B&B crew in the 30's, it was about 6 more guys. It is likely that SVRy employed around 115-120 folks in the hey days of the rr, not counting the brass.
