Mike the picture is fuzzy but I am sure that is Don Gibbs. He is one of the
guys who gave up his senroity to go to the main line(Grand Junction) He along
with Jim Mayer and Bud Schaaf went to GJ as fireman. Mayer and Schaaf both
came back to the narrow gauge and back and forth each year. That is how I got
around those guys in senrority and in 1969 started working the Silverton.

Gibbs stayed on the main line the rest of his career, never returned to the
narrow gauge and had a good career. Retired as a Road Foreman in Pueblo where
he still lives.
