I heard a second hand story that one K27 was moved through the Black Canyon after wreck damage while operating out of Mountrose. This was to get the engine east for shopping. The engine was stripped down to reduce weight and then it was walked through the bridges which it barely cleared.
I may be able to get the story told to me again this weekend and if so, I may post some more information.
