Your statement is true but they have been preserved to represent locomotives that ran on the D&RGW so they should be lettered to represent this--if they want to be a museum then they should keep the equipment as historically accurate as possible. I haven't seen to many thing in museums that are painted for the name of the museum they are representing--it takes away from the whole point of preserving them. Maybe we should letter all the equipment at the Colorado RR museum for that name and take all the RGS, D&RGW lettering off right--it's been in existence since the late 50's so it's definitely a historic entity. Maybe you see my point and I think Greg thinks similar to me but there is no earthly reason not to make them as historically accurate as possible.
