Good observations, John! The builders plate cinches it. Since 459 was the only superheated K-27 to carry one into the 1940's, it has to be 459. I was using the cylinders and overall look of the engine, to conclude that it was 459 but the builders plate is definitely the answer. The caption with the Trains picture states that the engine was still active in 1961 however. Since, neither Ed nor I can get the picture of her as an SG engine to come up, email me, and I will send it to you.
