Herb, I only noticed that as a NG engine #400 has the same cylinder arrangement as the 459 and that arrangement followed it to SG as #2250. Since I have never seen pictures of either #401 or #2251, I cannot say what was done to it. I agree that keeping the inside gear arrangement as an SG engine would be highly improbable, if 400 was really 458, then they changed the cylinders to match 459 while it was still NG.
