Thanks for the information El Coke. It is interesting to learn that the incident is well known. Some of these old wrecks show up in one source, but not in any of the potential newspaper coverage or other sources. It is also interesting that your information indicates the breaking of rules, and the Gazette listing hints at the same issue in mentioning the four who were riding merely for entertainment.
