Dave, I asked Markoff about this engine a few years ago. It belongs, along with a couple of Eureka-Nevada coaches, to the state of Nevada, which had no plans whatsoever to sell. Dan indicated there were plans in the works to eventually restore this little train set to operation. The equipment resides at a museum at Boulder City, just outside Las Vegas. Periodically some entity makes some extravagant announcement, and most of the time it is baloney.
I was working today, installing an air filter under the cab of F&CC #3, The "Elkton". It will be the only F&CC engine in operation. That is, until the "Portland" is finished by the able crew at Strasburg, PA.
