You want "Official" from SVRy ? Okay.
First off, the 1203 is still owned by SVRy until the final payment is made to purchase it and since testing will occur at SVRy BEFORE it goes to the loop, I would call it an SVRR locomotive.
We don't put pictures of the porter on our website as the site's purpose is to attract TOURISTS!!
The 1203 is being reassembled as we speak with operational testing scheduled to occur at SVRy in mid April and we are anticipating acceptance by CHS on May first, the locomotive has just finished in the paint shop and is ready to have the replacement engine installed which should happen in the middle of next week.
The upgrades to the brake system are being installed and the locomotive will be completely rewired.
The 1203 has been completely dismantled and every part inspected, repaired or replaced.
All of the clearances have been checked including re aligning a curve at SVRy to a tighter radius than the tightest curve on the loop just to double check that the trucks had enough lateral clearance.
I have plenty of pictures of the 1203 but since the ashpit went down there is no way to host them.
I might get Taylor to post a couple next week when he gets back.
Hopefully this ends the speculation.
