Recent Locomotive projects for customers include:
"Complete overhaul of Porter Diesel Locomotive #1203 for the Colorado
Historical Society."
Further, in the minutes of the Loop Park Coordinating Committee on June 22, 2005, they state that "Diesel locomotive #1203 is being restored at the Sumpter Valley Railroad. Early June is the targeted delivery date." That was 2005 of course, it isn't making it to the Loop until 2007. But the official at CHS told us yesterday that the locomotive will be at the Loop for the opening of the season in May.
If it used to be owned by the Sumpter Valley, however briefly, and is being rebuilt for the CHS, it's former Sumpter Valley 1203, isn't it?
