One suggestion would be the book "The Skyline Limited" of the Kaslo & Slocan Ry just over the border in BC. Book by Robert D. Turner and David Wilkie, 1994 by Sono Nis Press. This railroad was 3' that had a mix that look like WP&Y, Colo mining, and Lake Steamer to make a very interesting mix of everything exciting.
