OK. Another roundhouse puzzler: Maxwell's 1899 plans show that the south wall of the boiler room should have 3 stepdowns on the top- and today that's exactly what you'll find. But look at the photo on page 32 [C/C& 'little C]- 4 STEPS?!!! What the?? When did this happen & when did it change? That's not all. The plans show 5 windows and the [same] photo agrees this time. But todays wall only has 4. ???? I don't think there's any sign of a filled in window, usually pretty obvious w/ brickwork. Is it possable this wall was rebuilt at some point? That might explain Al P's boiler rumor. Want a tease? Same book, page 7: Are there 2 shades of color in the brick in that wall? New brick? Odd shadow? SR
