I agree the 328 might give you a little more room.
Both A/C have fine safety records. When I was deputy director at the old Stapleton AP in Denver, we greased a Beech 1900 in when its gear wouldn't come down. We landed him on R/W 35R.. he came in hot (fast)and landed right on the center line of the RW. Our crash trucks surround him when he stopped after sliding about 2000'. Five passengers and two crew jumped out and were happy and laughing. No fire! Two hours later I watched as the crane lifted the 1900 up, the mechs dropped the gear down, and we towed the plane to the hangar on its own wheels. Two bent props and some 'rug-burn' on the belley was the only damage. Tough little plane, that 1900. I was there,... up close and personal.(:-) "Bo"
