The new ballasted, tamped and lined sections look awesome. Can't wait to take the ride out of Antonito next summer. Congrats and thanks to the crews for all the hard work, and to Carlos for documenting it.
Still, John's right. As the hard work continues, the character of the line will change. Just another reminder that history is on-going. Get those shots of the old cinder (or non-existant) ballast while you can.
I expect that down the road, sidings and wyes, like Big Horn here, will still offer some good opportunities for the "old look".
