The plans under development are sensible and appealing from an urban development aspect, but are distasteful to me as a railroad fan because they do not include any surface tracks nearby the station. As a result, familiar sights such as the Ski Train, the Frontier Days train, and the California Zephyr will be buried in a tunnel to the west of the station. Even worse, the mental picture I conjure up of a westbound narrow gauge C&S passenger train boarding on the platform next to where I enter and exit Light Rail five days a week will be gone.
