Gresham's Law, "
the bad drives out the good" actually comes from Economics, where it
means that if there are two forms of money in use, people will save the more valued form (think
gold coins) and will spend the less valued form (think silver coins). However, it also has other
applications.
On occasion, you make a valiant effort to start a more edifying discussion over at the ashpit.
However, as long as Jay-bashing is considered to be the norm (compare this thread to the
corresponding thread over there), Gresham's Law tells us that you are wasting your time, and
Hogan's Law ("
threads complaining about Jay are most popular over here") will rule (and
your picture of Capt. Picard will get lots of work).
