I just thought I'd report that I just got back home from my trip up to Silverton and back today. Went up on Train 463 (Second train to SV), back on train 462 (First train to Durango) and the weather was reasonably nice, the river is lower and clearer, and the track is in good shape, with a few slow orders near where there is still some drainage work in progress. There has been a fantastic effort put in by many dedicated folks to get running again so quickly.
My hat is off to all.
And as always, the hospitality in Silverton today was top notch as well. Thanks to all the restaurants in Silverton who reopened Friday night so that the passengers had a warm place to get out of the rain and get some warm food.
