Mike ,Ith 537 was wrecked in 1928 .It was repaired quickly and returned to service - just in time for the last few months of operations out of Lead ,SD .I believe it was leased to the C&S right after abandonement of the Black Hills lines . This makes sense as the engine was just overhauled . At the time it went to Denver it received new domes and a C&S tender , lettered for its true owner . Its axle loadings must have been very high as it was not used on Clear Creek lines
