Greg, Colorado Rail Annual #10 quotes C&S records of June 1938 as having #9 in service between Denver and Dome Rock (South Platte), probably for feldspar loading. It also quotes the same records for July 1938 as when the decision was made to retain the #9 for the World's Fair, instead of #6. Therefore I would guess that sometime in July of 1938 is when #9 ran last.
